yESTERDAYY!
we had chem prac. then we were reacting CaCo3 with HCl! like dilute it. and connect it to the datalogger. then see the diff in rate of rxn's. we did it in groups of 3, deb, meh and aunty. THE INFAMOUS CHEM GROUP OF 2oo8. i think we delayed our presentation by like uh. 2-3months? so awesome right. yes i know. anyway. back at the lab.
after finishing the required stuff, i decided to react CaCo3 with LESS DILUTED HCl! (all of it comes diluted ): ) so yeah. Sizzle sizzle. then bubbles. so cute!!
i was contributing to global warming.
CaCo3 + 2HCl -> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2 !!! CARBON DAIOOOOXIIDEE ( dioxide. )
yeah anyway. then mrs chow came to our bench and asked if we finished alr. and i was still playing with the reactants. so i sheepishly tried to close the little container of calcium carbonate powder and put it back into the basket. then i chucked the conical flask into the sink. then i moved suddenly (trying to retract my hand) and then i KNOCKED DOWN ANOTHER ONE! priang. scream.
so th lab assistant gave me a broom and a dustpan to sweep the shattered glass up. and it was like, a convex slope. so it didn't look very efficient to me. so i turned it around and it was like a concave slope. then i tried to sweep the shards up and into the dustpan. went on for like 2 mins, then LohD walked past and asked the class, "Can anyone who knows how to use a broom help michelle..?"
and everyone laughed because i m phailsxzx. T.T surprisingly, maddie, who nobody expects to be able to sweep (well, me at least) halped me.
today!
mrs ng declared she was pregnant. i don't know. she's always so sarcastic and all it's hard to tell when she's telling the truth or lying to you for her self amusement :l !! she said she had good news to tell us in april or something. i think.
and apparently the mainstream thinks she's always angry, but she's really being totally patient and all (relative compared to how she was to us in sec1/2 maybe) and how they're totally scared of her. then she's like. but i'm not angry!! i'm so patient with them! they've never seen angry >: D evilface. etc.
i loveeeee lit. it's really funny :3 she told us about how she was eating alone once. then mr ong (z art teacher) came up to her and sat next to her after saying why are you eating alone! so lonely! then ramble on for 20 mins and say sorry need to go leave. then mrs ng goes like go!! nobody asked you to sit down anyway! *exasperated*
then mr lim comes and does the same thing.
MrLim: eh pwetee (pun on that. pretty, bui tee aka fat aunty) why you sitting alone! etc.
then lao shi (mrs ng's best friend- gohseckhoon) does the same thing. and then they have this SPAR in eng/chi. believe meh, it's really REALLY funny. :3!!
SHE ALSO SAID SHE'D FIND OUT IF IT WAS A GIRL (ref 4 para's up) AND IF IT WAS, SHE'D NAME HER MICHELLE!!
it's what i go to school for!~
